Mission
The mission of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mountain Vista Medical Center is to provide our residents broad exposure, training, and expertise through a comprehensive array of Internal Medicine clinical presentations and participation in a well-rounded educational curriculum. This program is designed to provide fully competent physicians who can provide high-quality patient care and will be well-prepared graduates for postgraduate work and employment in rural and metropolitan areas.

- Ensure trainees master the six core competencies outlined in the ACGME specialty requirements.
- Teaching faculty are committed to training and supervising each resident trainee in the field of Internal Medicine.
- Ensure that trainees receive comprehensive cognitive and procedural clinical education in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide quality education to trainees that will enable them to become competent physicians who will serve their community with the best patient care and academicians, educators, and researchers.
