- AZ - Glendale
Two Midwestern University students from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) have been named to the prestigious Omega Beta Iota (OBI) National Osteopathic Political Action and Advocacy Honor Society for the Summer 2026 membership cycle.
AZCOM student doctors Shahar Broitman (AZCOM '29) and Pradyuth Thonse (AZCOM '29) were selected for membership by OBI's national membership and recruitment committee.
Established in 2007, Omega Beta Iota recognizes osteopathic medical students and professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, civic engagement, and health policy advocacy. Inductees actively participate in grassroots organizing, legislative policy education, and national advocacy initiatives - such as the American Osteopathic Association’s annual "DO Day" on Capitol Hill - to amplify the voice of the osteopathic profession and shape the future of healthcare.
